3 Cities, 3 Infodoodlers, 1 Big Discussion

We’ve coordinated multiple infodoodlers at the same event before. But three different infodoodlers in three different cities to capture one event happening (and livestreaming!) at the same time? Never.

And we *love* new challenges like that.

Bloomberg Live contacted us about an idea they had for a series of breakfast symposiums sponsored by their client, UPS. The breakfast meetings were set to happen in three different cities: Detroit, St. Louis, and Pittsburgh. Simultaneously. And Bloomberg was looking to have them all visually captured as part of a multi-media, carefully coordinated, livestreamed and hashtagged event.

The topic: #Newshoring. (Told you it was hashtagged!) Newshoring is a new term referring to the Made-In-America-move to manufacturing and business-building. And although the topic was the same, we knew the conversations would be very different depending on the city, the panelists, and the attendees.

To bring continuity to the three-city discussion, we created a common template on which to capture content. Each infodoodler rendered it in her own style for a similar-but-not-the-same feel, color-coded it to match the invitations sent to each city’s attendees, and used an outline of the U.S. on which to literally build on the subject of Newshoring.

The result: a terrific triptych that upped the impact threefold from one important discussion.

Many thanks to Bloomberg Live, UPS, and all the attendees that left us even more apt to look for the Made In U.S.A. label.
