Back-to-School Infodoodle Special

Skidmore College’s motto is “Creative Thought Matters.” Right there, we sense a soulmate. But it gets better — the school is also home to Project VIS, an initiative sponsored by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation that seeks to “increase visual literacy through the campus community.” Be still our doodling hearts.

Because we’re kindreds, we jumped at the opportunity to go back to school with Skidmore for a campus-wide Science Summit. They approached us looking for a practitioner to visually capture the presentations and panels, knowing the kind of conversation and interaction the large-scale notes inspire — both during and after an event.

The result? A match made in mutual-mission heaven. And as big of a believer as we are in the power of pictures, we’re awfully fond of words like these from Kimberley Verstandig of Skidmore:

“What an absolute pleasure it was to have you here at Skidmore this past weekend.  Thank you so much for the terrific job infodoodling at our Science Summit.  Everyone was abuzz about the infodoodler!  In particular, President Glotzbach was very pleased with the Science Education/CIS graphic and plans to display it in the President’s Office when it returns.”

We’ll go back to school, anytime.
