Jill Salzman has been shaking up the startup scene for a while now. She’s grown her Founding Moms group from three women in Chicago to an empire of ‘splinter cells’ in 30 cities worldwide. She asked me to do a sketchnote of her TEDx talk and I was psyched to get her mission into pictures.
I usually do my sketchnotes live, so this was a treat to have a ‘pause’ button to hit. I did the initial version in pencil, then went back and edited in ink, then finished it out with colored pencil. Yes, it’s a process, but I like it.
