This work is from my Gamestorming co-author, Dave Gray, and everything he creates comes out as what I call “brainiacal.” (Try your best to pronounce that.) This strategic doodle is valuable because it shows the design of information and the placement of visual-thinking content in an ordered universe. It has layers of information displayed with visual simplicity. This work is also an excellent example of the visual alphabet – the 12 fundamental building blocks for drawing anything. Dave boils down his icons to simple units without sacrificing any substance, a concept I refer to as “visual economy.” This is one of the many reasons why Dave rules. Study this piece.
