Be Bamboo my friend

Gar Reynolds is a natural born communicator, one of those that do not let you indifferent, not because what he says is something new or important, but how you say it. Reynolds spoke in his presentation about what he learned from Bamboo. Nine points on physical caracaterísticas and not so físcas of this plant. Here are my visual notes, but I encourage you to watch the video presentation TEDxTokyo. How presents, how to design your presentation and how it uses the resources and sense of humor, with Master Yoda included.

Social Objects – Objetos Sociais

I made this one based on what I read at Hugh MacLeod’s blog, about Social Objects. I’m spreading doodles in Brazil, so it’s in Portuguese Translation: -Social Objects – ideas from Hugh MacLeod -It’s what makes people interact – Social networks form / Around Social Objects – We use Social Objects to share ourselves with others – If a company doesn’t offer interesting Social Objects… what will the people talk about?

Automate Paper Processes

This doodle is a high-level diagram showing the conversion of paper processes to electronic processes; business process re-engineering; and business intelligence for reporting, analytics, and data visualization (e.g., dashboards). This diagram was used (and sketched in advance) to describe a modernization effort at a very high level for a quick 10-minute meeting.

My husband and I were recently discussing how our pasts have affected our attitudes toward art, parenting, and life in general. We tried to recall the Big Things– things that really shaped us and our values. Next, moving onto WHYs. Which things are important? Why are they important? What do we lose, when art is not valued? How can we pass the Importants down to our children?
