Explanatory Video with Say It Visually
Over a year ago, my friends and colleagues Jordan Schaffel and Dr. Matthew Dunn decided to start their own business in the explanatory video space. This was somewhat due to the fact that Common Craft had moved out of the customized video market and into the licensed video market. So the video you see above was one of their first prototypes – an effort to try out different styles of character, motion and narration. To streamline the creation process, we repurposed characters designed for an earlier infographic made by BrightSpot in partnership with 2 Bad Mice Design. The design team for the video consisted of myself, Erik Kuntz, and Say It Visually. It was an excellent learning process in a visual space I hadn’t yet played in. And I intend to create more explanatory videos since my clients have started to ask for them. So stay tuned…
